Owner/Managing BrokerGraduated at Kaufmaennisches Lehrinstitut Zurich (KLZ) in Business Administration
Swiss BankerI started my career with an apprenticeship with United Bank of Switzerland (UBS)
After my apprenticeship with UBS I was working for Credit Suisse for one year in a back office for the FOREX division.
From 1988 to 1997 I was working as a FOREX trader with Finter Bank and ABN AMRO Bank in Zurich. In 1992 I was working for 4 months in London for UBS through an exchange program with Finter Bank.
Moving to MexicoIn 1998 I move to La Paz, Mexico where I went to the state university to learn Spanish and after finishing my course in July I moved to Cabo San Lucas.
I love the Mexican Culture and its people. The climate in Los Cabos must be one of the best in the world. I don't miss the rain and foggy weather in Switzerland. My mexican friends have made it very easy to meet nice people and helped me also with the introduction to the Mexican Culture & History. Today I'm fluent in spanish.
After working for two years as an administrator in a Sport Activity business I started my real estate career.
Real EstateMy first introduction to real estate was with Coldwell Bank in 2000. In 2002 I joint Prudential California Realty in Cabo San Lucas for almost 9 years. I’ve been a member of AMPI since 2002 and I became an International Member of NAR in 2006 when AMPI and NAR signed a joint venture.
I was a top producer at Prudential from day one. I managed as a listing agent several successful real estate developments in Cabo San Lucas and I was also the sales manager in one of the three offices Prudential operated in Los Cabos. I thaught several classes for Prudential agents and I’ve been teaching classes for our new MLS system to the AMPI members in Los Cabos and La Paz.
During my time with Prudential I served on the board on both MLS and AMPI Association as treasurer and vice president. I’m currently serving as a member of the Board of Realtors in Los Cabos. I was elected to be the Chairman of the board for 2012.
In 2011 I opened my own real estate company with Mark Nieman. We are both members in good standing within our local AMPI chapter and NAR.
In summer 2012, we formed a new partnership with Jay West. With our new company we are about to acquire the first Windermere Real Estate Franchise in Mexico. We plan to had our big opening in December but we have been conducting business in our new office since October 2012. We are excited to operate under the great brand of Windermere.
I served on our local real estate board for many years as the head of the membership committee, treasurer and vice President. I was also the chairman of the board of realtors from January 2012 until May 2013. Due to my position as managing broker I resigned from that duty to concentrate 100% on my new job and serve our team of real estate agents and brokers.
